I grew up in Utah where we got some snow. My dad had a snow plow for his truck and got a few jobs. Here are a few things to consider. Businesses and people want the snow removed before the work day starts. That means getting up at 3:00 AM depending upon how many jobs you have. All your jobs have the exact same need at the exact same time. How are you going to cover your jobs? How many jobs will you get? What about the rising cost of gas. Do you bid by the job? What happens with the price of gas. Your jobs can't change on a whim. What if it keeps snowing? Do you plow 2-3 times in a day? Do you get paid everytime you plow or just for the day?

    Good Luck!!

In quebec, this business is very saturated. Most people who do that are retired people or winter jobless people.
Usually, they fix a price for the whole winter.
This is gambling.. Can be very good if there is not a low of snow.
If you're unlunky, you will not do a lot of money there.
People usually love this kind of contract.
If you get pay each day /call, you won't have a lot of job.
    Good luck

I am sure your idea can be profitable since I have a friend who's family does this for a living. It's not easy from what I have been told and you are usually up hours before the sun comes up in order to make sure the roads are clear for everyone to get to work.

Snowplows are large too, where are you planning on storing it when it's not in use? You also have to think about the up keep for your plow, who will work on it, where will they work on it, and cost that will go along with this.

I have no experience with this kind of business but the best way to start is to advertise in your area. You also do scheduling. Best of luck!
