Has anyone ever used SMC or any other TV late night commercial programs? Do they work?

Depending on what you want to do with it, it can be profitable. The problem is that so many people have already used SMC, there's no profit for it on eBay. Your best bet is to either sell the stuff at a flea market or make a niche product website that you can get some real niche buyers to. One thing I would suggest to you is looking into a dropship directory with real dropship companies. SMC is a bit of an intermediate, so to speak. The authors of the directory do the eBay Radio show for Entrepreneur magazine. There are lots of good companies that offer prices that are very competitive online.

I would suggest making your own wholesale/B2B connections.

Going thru a company like SMC you can be sure they are just marking up your products even more by the time they get to you and the end user.
