Small Business vs. Large Corporation
Whether you own a small business or planning on owning one or you're just a normal customer;
When dealing with any small business or large corporation, what are the benefits do you like about either one?
For me, when I make a phone call to a small business office, I like it when I get immediate attention, they don't put me on hold, but if I call a large corporation, I hate being put on hold forever, and then they give me a run around, switching me from one department to the next, just to answer my simple question.
So what do you like or dislike about small businesses and large corporation? And since you now know the pros and cons of small business and large corporations, what are you planning on doing to improve your business?

My biggest dislike about working for a large corporation (spend three years doing so) was all of the red tape and policy. In the Tech department, even though I had a possible way to resolve an issue, that didn't mean that I was able to use it due to breach of company policy.
As a small business, we have much more freedom.

I've seen this go either way. If you get the right person at a major corporation, the experience is great. Conversely, if you get the wrong person at a small company, you can be taken for a ride, so to speak. Generally, I do not care so much about the size of the company I am dealing with as much as I do the experience. Additionally, I focus on a company's core values before deciding whether or not I will do business with them - stuff like that is important to me.

Well big corporations are a plus in lots of ways. As a consumer you can trust them more than small biz most times. If you are a corporation you have the name over small companies....tons more
Hmm cant really see any benifits from small biz other you can be your own boss.Its a huge hassle..Small biz is more likely to fail. And the consumer dealing with small biz is always likely to wonder if they got as good a deal as a big corp would have given them.
But by law,it all comes down to who is running the biz. Thats what its all about. Do you have the brains working on your side?
Sorry to say but most times;
Small biz is by nature less likely to be trusted over big companies by the consumer.

^^ I find your rambling commentary somewhat amusing. Out of curiosity, how old are you?

I think the benefits of having a small business is you can be a boss, no one will control & shout you. But it terms of advantages, I think Large Corps have the most one.

In terms of advantages from what i've seen, big companies do have alot more of them.
And to the OP whenever i've called a large corp i normally have a contact there so i dont get put on hold as long as i know their ext. They also have alot nicer offices when i go take visits
