Small Business Owner or Corporate CEO

If you had the opportunity to become the CEO of a Fortune 500 company would you leave your multi-million dollar small business behind to take on that duty? If your net-income was to be the same from both situations would you take on the corporate world? This could also be answered vise-versa. If you were a corporate CEO would you rather be leading a multi-million dollar small business?

I am sure many have Paul, do not underestimate the YE community. It is a hypothetical situation though, and many people know the responsibilites associated with being a CEO or a Small Business Owner from books, research, observations and experience.

If it were challenging enough, I would definitely take the top position with a large corporation. I don't think pay would even matter - I could make less in my business. But I'd only want situations that would challenge me at a deep level. For instance, I'd love to do turnarounds...Chrysler, BofA, AOL. Other than that, the dynamics of a startup are a better fit for my personality!
