I recently bought a Brother Intellifax 1270E fax machine for business use. I bought it because it works on the same phone line as a voice telephone. There's only one problem-it cuts off my Caller ID, so my phone simply says "Incoming Call" instead of displaying Caller ID info. Apparently the Caller ID is going to the fax. This is exactly what I DON'T want. Is there any way to solve this other than simply using another jack, or using a duplexer to plug both the fax and the phone directly into the wall instead of plugging the fax into the wall and the phone into the fax? Installing a fax line is not an option-that's why I chose the Brother.
