I am setting up a mobile phone discussion forum where people can review, discuss, buy, sell, trade cell phones and plans along with a few other things.

I have been on similar forums in the past and I know they exist - but i want to create one for my city only.

Can anybody here offer advice on how to best advertise the community once the website is ready? How can I best generate useful content, threads in the beginning?

What are the best ways to eventually generate revenue from forums?

Can anyone share their successes or failures with Forums?
