    Selling Unofficial Merchandise

Im considering selling merchandise such as t-shirts with certain people printed on them. Say, some of these people happen to be known recording artisits. What should I know about trying to sell unofficial merchandise of these artists? I see all kinds of people doing this on ebay and all over the net. Is there any serious risks in running a small scale operation like this? Or better yet, how would one go about getting licensed?

you could get in trouble if you are not licensed to make/sell those shirts

I agree with youngmoneyblog there... you need to go about it the right way.. contact the wholesalers or manufacturers. Feel free to contact me if you need help with official suppliers.

I an very informed in this area and can tell you that you should not pursue selling bootleg items. There are licensing fees that need to be paid in order to be able to print these items. The easiest way to start is to contact the licensed printers. As your business grows, you can begin to purchase licenses and become a wholesaler yourself. Of course, if you have enough start-up capital, you can jump right into the licensing portion.
