    Question selling Palm Trees

    Hi

I live in Spain and know cheap suppliers of palm trees. How would i go about marketing such a thing?

Would online marketing be the way forward?
    would i need a special license¿

Any tips on how to set about this project would be great.

    Many thanks

If i remember about a year ago on Sky television a guy from the UK moved over to spain and that was his sole income the property had about 10 acres of land and he planted his own and in the 1st year he made no money while the Palms grew into a decent size for selling.
In year 2 he hired a 10 tonne lorry and loaded it with all sizes from small pot all the way through to nearly full size trees and he sold every one in garden centres over i the UKmsome of them he sold direct to these garden centres but most of them he asked to setup a stall type of shop and payed money for say a 2 day pitch and after all the expenses like the lorry and other expenses like fuel and the stall he made a very nice profit.
Regarding paperwork etc i dont have a clue but it can and this was going to be this families main source of income.Good luck

Something you will have to consider is moving these through a customs inspection so that you don't bring foreign bugs and plant diseases into a country. Many countries are very strict about this, which is the reason there are certain fruits and plants that cannot leave certain countries. I am not sure what things are to be looked at specifically, but be sure to consult with a import/export dealer who has experience transporting live plants.

I would follow what the first guy said - market them in Spain like the guy did in the UK. As the other person mentioned getting through Customs could be a real chore!

You just have to develop a STORY that makes your palm trees UNIQUE. Use CREATIVITY marketing them!
