    Selling Artwork

Does anyone have any experience with selling artwork or know of someone who does?

I'd like to know how it's done online and in person.

I may be able to get you the contact of someone I know that knows a lot more than I do when it comes to this. He just graduated from UCLA and now works for DeviantArt.com

My mom is an amazing artist. She's won countless ribbons, first place prizes, trips to vegas, etc. Her ways of selling are just entering into shows and blowing out the competition. She also enters in a few pieces through her local museum. I'm trying to get her to push sales online with her own personal site, as well as possibly a store front someday. Business cards and networking online is usually a sure way if you are any good.

There's a lot of different ways you can sell your work and get yourself exposed. Like the post above said, enter as many pieces as you can into contests and shows, it WILL get you noticed if your any good. Other than that, sell your work at fairs and other events like that.

As far as an online front, I know a friend of mine that has a site up

This is just an example of what a site could/should look like if your selling your work online.

That site you linked is terrible. Very unprofessional.
