    Arrow Security

I have started my own security company and have had a few jobs that have gone well. They where both short time things and now I'm looking for more. I would like to expand and have more then just the one or two jobs at a time. Does anyone know any please where i could post that would get my name out into that market or does anyone need security services in the Nebraska, South Dakota, Iowa area. If so let me know. Thanks

    1. Who are your ideal customers? (age, gender, interests, location, ...)
    2. What web sites would they frequent?
    3. That's where you post...

    Good luck

I have a wide area of ideal customers from gas stations, Bars, Factories, Shopping center, Residential, Construction, Parking Lots, and so on. There are so many places that i could post almost every place online but I dont want to do that. I was looking for a place where i could post an add and those companies come to that site. Does anyone know anything like that let me know

Well I'm not trying to be a prick - but you need to clean up your grammar and spelling before submitting any type of feeler or posting. That said, you're looking for the 'easy' way out. It would be nice if all of us could post one ad on one site, and let all of our targeted customers come to that one site to see our ad. Sounds a bit unrealistic, doesn't it?

I know about the security industry, and I know that most jobs come to off-duty cops that have worked in their jurisdiction for a while, and get to know the owners and managers of the establishments in the area. What you're seeking is a quick and easy way.

My friend, you need to put some time and effort into this. You need to network and get your face in front of those managers and business owners. Simply posting an ad and hoping someone stumbles upon it won't get you too many places in that sector. What about getting the blotter or newspaper to see what business has been robbed lately? Seriously, you have so many avenues that you need to put brain power to work before you try to market this thing. It's not hard -- you're in a wide-open arena. Stop being lazy and get your a** out the door and into the offices of your potential customers.

    That is all.

Sorry i did not mean to come off the way i did. I am going out and talking to people but most places are looking for small things like once a week or something. I wanted to get my name online on like a place like this that is all entrepreneurs that get on and help eachother out. I know there has to be a place like that for security where i can advertise. Im not being lazy (But as for today i am that way my typing sucks its Sunday) I do go out and talk to people and look at help wanted and so on.

I'm not sure how it is in your neck of the woods, but I am here in Vegas and security is fairly abundant. If you're looking to source jobs that are full-time (or close to that), I think you may have a little trouble in the rural parts. Just my thoughts though.

I am currently in the middle of getting my DCJS certification for Armed Security Officer.

As a security employer, you have lots and lots of requirements to complete and keep up to date to be in that business. Lots of state codes and everything.

You might want to check with your state to make sure you have everything completed before doing anymore jobs, and you also can't work outside the state without approval and requirements met from that state as well, you need a license in each state you do work in.
