I personally use Alpha for my wholesale tees. As far as printing, I own a heat press for pressing transfer designs.

I use Virginia T's. I work with local printers for my shirts, but am looking to invest in some equipment.
What do you need?

Try buying from a wholesaler directly from china, or where the t-shirts are manufactured.

The tshirts probably look crappy because the artist did a crappy job. You can't blame them for that. It's YOUR job to make sure the art is good. It's the printers job to make sure the registration during printing is good.

which way do u guys recomend puting the design on to the shirt (to look the most professional)
screen printing them
or just some how spray or paint them on
....i would assume that screen printing is the best way but, it also cost the most soo,
i.e. if i have a logo then would the screen design look the best and would i have to use a graphic artist to send it to the screen printer company?
if u guys have any little tricks that would be greatly helpful
thanks so far

Most t-shirts are produced in LEDC coutries where they can employ people.
Unless you shirts from a small business manufacturing the shirts, i would bet that all t-shirts were made in places where they have sweatshops, like China. So if you buy form a wholesaler they are probobly just middlemen. So can you trust wholesalers in China? Sure..if they have a proven track record, ie a portfolio for who they have done business with. If you want to buy your goods cheaper....cut out the middleman!
I am sure 5 minutes on google, you will come up with a list of potential suppliers..I could, and I have.
I obviously can't say that China produces good quility or bad quility t-shirts..becuase there are hundreds of different manufacturers all producing varying quility t-shirts, but of course some of them will produce good quility shirts.

You keep asking the same question and people keep telling you the same thing. Just take your time and do the proper search for what you are looking for.

As I stated before... Choose Alpha Apparel or Bodek & Rhodes. The're wholesale prices are cheap enough to make a decent profit and you can choose from a slew of different manufacture'ers.
Anyway, if you try going to the manufacturer directly their order minimums are very high, we're talking big money. Whereas you can purchase even 1 piece from the above mentioned wholesalers and still make a profit. Of course the more you purchase the more you save per piece.
After that, take your design to a local screen printer. Depending on how many colors are in a certain design, the cost should be minimal. They usually cost $25 per plate. (color) or a flat fee for full color.
If you have the money, I would advise going the Heat Press route. I have a 15 x 15 and it cost approx. $600. Then order Blank transfer paper. They have transfer paper for inkjet printers and you can purchase the blank transfer sheets for light fabric and one step transfer sheets for dark fabrics.
To keep costs down only print & press per order. With the above info this allows you to keep your overhead down without keeping inventory of a bunch of unsold blank tees sitting around.
Where will you be selling these T's? Where are you located because if you reside in the states their should be an Alpha or Bodek & Rhodes near you. I'm not sure but they may also have plants overseas.
