    Schools - Senior

    Hi everyone,
I am trying to place a software product of mine within schools but do not have any experience with the education industry. How can I approach schools to try and sell this? Flyers, brochures and newspaper advertising is something I am going to do but I believe that approaching them directly will have better results. Does anyone have any experience with this?

For example how do yearbook companies, photographers, other educational software companies do this?

    Thanks in advance

    Regards
    Andrew Burchell

Those two are cartells as far as I care . Depends on what your software is used for, approaching the school's administrator or the district administrator is probably your best bet.

Thanks for such a quick reply! Sorry this may sound like a rather uneducated query but what exactly is a district administrator and how would you find contact details?
    Thank you!

Where I work, the people contact school administrators directly and they initially offer the school free products. Usually if the school likes it, they'll share it with other admin and your credibility for your product is established. After that you take it to the county board of educators, then to the district, finally after years you hit the state-wide education system.

I oversimplified the process on purpose. I assume you get the idea though. Keep us posted!

Thank you Qloud9resident for such informative advice! That has helped me a lot, so now my plan is to try and get it into private schools preferably at a near to free cost (only charge for hosting fees if hosting is required). Then after possible media attention and brand development I will take it to the Board of Studies for endorsement and hopefully implementation within state schools.
