    Reselling. Is this plausible?

I'm fairly new to the entrepreneur scene, but after lurking the boards for a while I have become increasingly intrigued. I was looking to get my feet wet with something with something very simple - reselling. I'm not looking to make millions, and I don't expect a really thick profit margin unless I can find an exceptional niche, but I do have a lot of time on my hands. I'm not looking to drop ship; I plan on ordering wholesale to my house and packing and distributing myself. Anyone else with any experience here that can offer some insight? I have heard Paypal's fees are pretty costly, along with ebay listing fees, what kind of hit can I expect to take between the two? Has anyone used globalsources.com?

    Thanks in advance!

Having recently expanded into wholesale electronics myself, I would recommend first and foremost to do a ton of research and talk to a ton of potential suppliers.

From what I found, there isn't a legit website out there that you can just buy goods from online. It's more difficult than that. You actually have to seek out individuals, have them send you pricelists of their products and actually talk to them on the phone.

Pick a product or product range, figure out how exactly you're going to move your product, find places where there are a lot of suppliers and talk to as many people as you can.

Slowly you'll be able to weed out good potential suppliers. Always talk to them over the phone before giving them money and never send WU. A wire transfer is just as risky but a lot of legit suppliers only use that.

And the number one rule if you're trying to deal in name brand goods, especially in the electronics field, is NEVER buy from China. You'll get ripped off in one way or another almost guaranteed.

    Best of luck.
