Resale Licence/Can I legally sell branded goods?

I'm thinking of starting a website to sell multiple clothing brands, if I set one up, I assume I need a licence from a brand(eg. Addidas) to sell their clothes, how much would one cost?

Also, if I do get a licence will they give a list of their manufacturers or will I have to find wholesalers?

Some brands won't let you sell their goods (For example: Gucci, Louis Vuitton, etc) You'd have to contact the company directly to know if you can sale their products or not.
