Religous Tours

Ok had an idea last night

Theres a church hidden, seeped in history and wonderfull dleights. How about religous guided tours? I mean that idea has been going for years right?

Any one else seeing the potential?

where is this church? the reason i ask is you are looking for tourists as opposed to locals. if it is near a cruise ship port for example you definitly want to get the hook up with them as you can almost count on several hundred people and on the same days of the week (cruise ship people are suckers for stuff like this). if the church is more inland i think you are going to have a hard time picking tourists up. However, what would be a great idea is to contact several other people in neighboring countries that have knowledge of their area and put together a package. you could advertise a 5 day religous tour of nearly unknown churches across several countries. then getting the hook up with hotels and trains shouldn't be a problem. the hotel will give you reduced rates because of the number of rooms you are booking at one time but you charge these people full price. so you make some extra cash there. then after that cities tour that day the people can wonder and shop in the city and then move on with you the next day.

I think alot of americans in general would love to come to europe but they are worried about language barriers and local customs etc. (heck we are right next to mexico and still can't pronounce half the food on a taco bell menu). if they had a friend (guide) they would feel more confortable, and the more comfortable they feel the more their wallets open.
