    Cool Reading List Questions

Hello guys and girls this is my first thread on this forum ,

I was wondering if you could reccomend to me a reading list of books to take me from nothing to atleast literate in the world of business and business management in particular with an emphasis on manufacturing. I do not want to study business in university but am pretty certain I am going into my family's business afterwards. So a list of valuable books would be much appreciated. Also, could you reccomend to me any other things to do in my spare time to educate and prepare myself for entering the company on a full time basis after my studies? For instance, I have a little fear of public speaking so am thinking about attending local Toastmasters meetings. If it helps I live in NJ within 1/2 hour driving distance of NYC.

Thanks in advance for your response.

    -Alex

"Operations Management for Competitive Advantage" is a good book that will take you through all the most pressing and current issues related to manufacturing and operations.
