    Cool raising money for college

We are all young or soon to be young entrepreneurs... anyone have any good ideas for me to raise money to go to college? I am trying to have as little student loans as possible. I am going to community college my first 2 years. My junior year I will be transferring into a university to get my BA in business administration. suggestions? all are welcome.

vishenda, you should have also disclosed that that is your Website link. There's nothing wrong, really, with posting it, but a full disclosure is definitely appropriate.

A job is the best way of making money for funding college. No point in taking a high risk option when you have loans over your ahead and with no way of solidly paying them back.

I was a hostess and waited tables. It was no dream, but it definately paid my rent and the hours were flexible. I had some loans also, which, yes, I am bummed I have to pay them back now, but it made my college time much less stressful. While you are in college, you want to be able to focus on your studies and your friends, not how you are going to pay for it all. You are doing the right thing by going to a community college first. I did that and it got all the necessary but boring stuff out of the way for so much less financially than a 4 year college. Check out the work study program on your campus, and definately apply for financial aid.

Good point. Get in the restaurant business and you could make some good money. I was a bus boy over the summer and I was making some cash.

The honest truth is that you should just start networking like crazy all around your area. Subtlely let people know that you're into business, and if you've got skills, you'll be hired for a decent job in no time at all. Along those lines, you could also find another entrepreneurial spirit with whom you can collaborate. I've seen this work too many times. ...and done it.

Well raising money for college is a very vague question.

However, I respectfully disagree with some others' comments on getting a job, and not worrying about how to pay off the college debt.

I do agree with that you should be networking like crazy, and thinking of ways to startup entrepreneur ventures. It is like Robert Kiyosaki, he was living out of his car for awhile, refused to get a job. Instead forcing himself to figure out a way to start a profitable buisness.

Mind your own buisness, create something. I can garuantee, and assume you want to be an entrepreneur. That if you were to focus on starting up a buisness, whatever it is for four years, you would be better off than if you worked a job for four years.

    Yes, you could do both:

But, whatever you focus on grows:

There is plenty of opportunity to not have to work a job:

    ------------

The real investment you can do, is working on yourself. Reading books, audio cds, do you have a mentor, do you want one? Becoming a more attractive person, by working hard on yourself. Study Wealth, if wealth is what you want.

Don't conform to a job, push yourself, ask HOW CAN I?

    ------------

    I would seriously consider next-work-marketing/direct-selling.

And to reconform the point, everyone, he is not looking for another job to work for.
