Radio Station copying me!!

Hi,

i've just been in my car listening to the TalkSport radio show, hosted by the infamous James Whale to hear that they're running a competition which almost mimic's my website!!!

read all about it here on their website:

what should i do?? my site is www.pixaprize.com - instead of just a standard grid, talksport have placed their grid on a football pitch and the first to text the correct grid reference wins the prize. They've even implemented the "hot" & "cold" clues!!

what do i do? i'm sure there's something is should do, but what??
newspapers sound interesting!! i wouldn't want to stop them i think - but maybe get a plug from them for my site!!

You're both right and i'm not worried about it.......

I contacted the radio show straight after i started this thread and spoke with their competitions dept. They said that the mechanic has been provided to them by another company and that the same company provides other radio and tv shows with similar competitions (the software and service).

The curious thing is though this same company contacted me approximately four months ago after visiting my site with a proposal which i declined. I still have their e-mail to prove this. The company is considerably large ofcourse and appears to me that they have used my game to create their own system. Nevertheless, i'm aware their are differences between the two competitions, but i'm just curious to know exactly how it came about.

i still have that company as an advertiser on my grid - they have a total of 5 squares - i don't see why i should remove them!!

anyway - that's that.

I've heard similar ideas using a grid and a football pitch/desert island/treasure map on the radio, yonkies before even the milliondollar pixel boom. It's a pretty common competition for a radio phone in.
