    Race to $200

    hey,

I thought this would be a good idea, so i'm putting it out there.
Lets have a race to $200!

Basically, if you dont have a business or you want to start something new, lets have a competition to see who can earn $200 online the fastest.
I chose $200 because its a small amount, but still big enough to make you stretch.
We should support each other along the way because it'll benefit everyone.
The reward is you develop your entrepreneurial skills, so its a win/win.

This may be a proposterous idea, it may not.

What do you guys think about this?

u should have a start time and get a certain amount of people to do it. Sounds fun idea. I'm sorting out a website at the moment so after that I'll be up for it.

I'll be up for that, sounds good.
Whats the prize if you win?

There should be some rules to the challenge, like you can't spend any money.

no prizes. otherwise its nearly impossible to stop people cheating. Just have it as an honest competition where people start on a certain date and post up how they made the money and evidence if possible!

Im keen. But I guess alot of you have projects started already. How about we all start with nothing at all. Then first to have $200 profit wins.

like you can't spend any money.
I think you should be able to spend money, otherwise it will take a few months to get $200. I would like just a quick comp

    It has to be online?

$200 in profits? Because I could lend out $10,000 profitably on Prosper and get back >$200 in my first payment, but a portion of that would be principal.

I'll compete though, so long as we can use eBay. I have a bunch of crap sitting around from back when I had a functioning eBay videogames business, and this would incentivize me to sell/ship it. It'd come to safely more than $200 in total.

    Yeh $200 in profit.

I don't think selling stuff you already have should be allowed though, I could just chuck my scooter online and get $200 easy....

Theres should be a rule like you start with only a max of say $50 or something and you have to provide proof to show you've not cheated

    Host of the competition

I'm in the middle of dinner, but once I finish, I'll write up some rules and we can decide on something. Personally I think if you guys are newbies, it might take a while to earn $200... you'd be surprised how hard it is, but once you get the first dollar... I'm about to launch a blog/site about entrepreneurs, so you guys can just pm me every... few days and I'll post all the information and the leaders.

    The Rules

    These are the no-nos.

    1. You cannot sell anything directly.
If you have a Ferrari in the drive way that you want to get rid of, great, but not a cent it going towards $200.
If you can handmake Ferraris, that doesn't count either.
    2. You cannot lend people money you already have, aside from the $50 you start with.
    3. You cannot do anything that your connections would allow you to do that the average surfer cannot. If you under 18, find mom and dad and get their Social Security number. Your going to need it.

    So What Can You Do?

    1. Learn/know how to build an information site and stuff it with affiliate links, adsense or get a drop shipper.
    2. Build a site or advertise on this forum about services you are the middleman for.
    3. Anything else you can think of that any other plain jane surfer could do.

    What do you think?

PM me if you think about entering and I'll send you some questions so we can see the differences between the competition.

Sounds like a great challenge, especially for a newbie like me..
but one question... with a $50 budget, that'll mean i can't sign up for a web hosting site... unless you guys are saying go get a free website or something.
