Hi to all MBAs here! I've got a question for you?
Now that you've got your MBA degree, do you feel it helps contributing to your overall business success? Please elaborate if you can.
Cheers

Yes
No
I think it does (if you don't have your own business)

no. .
Are you serious? Nothing whatsoever??? Wisdom uninvested in labour is wasted.
I still primarily work in the corpoate world and only moonlight as an entrepreneur.
It helps for a couple of reasons in the corporate world. It gives higher ups justification for promoting you/hiring you. I've been in companies where someone is promoted and they are looked down upon for not having an advanced degree. So, it gives some people or companies the okay.
The only real advantage I got out of it was being better at presenting. Much easier to talk to a group or give a presentation and think on your feet when put in a difficult situation.
The work really isn't that hard and I didn't gain a ton of knowledge from it (BS is in Operations Management), so that part wasn't much.
I also went into it after only working a couple of years and did it while working. So, it probably would have helped more if I did it with a reason in mind. I went through the program at the time because I was still close to in school mode and because I knew I would later on what that line on my resume.
Not much help on the entrepreneur side so far except for connections.
