    Question to the members

How many people here have been involved with business or plan to be that are offline? It seems that most people here are .comers and although the internet is important it seems to me that in the terms of money, the net is very small in comparison to "brick and motor" business.

My second question is why is every one here in love with online business?

    1) It's a web savvy generation and we're trying to create our wealth through a venue in which we are most familiar with.

    2) Also, many times people become so comfortable with the internet, that they don't want to face the real world, doing business face-to-face.

    3) Online businesses can require less capital to start. It can be really affordable to build an online store and sell stuff, compared to the cost of buying/renting commercial property.

Those are some of the reasons I can think of.

The internet to me is email and info or communication. Don't need a website and like the low profile. I think making money is relative 1% of you will made big $$ a couple off the internet and a couple off non internet.

Though I'm in construction and development. Land is land, a home is a home. that is the comodity.
My business Is reducing my liability.
building homes is the means the process.
Making money is the by product.
My product is high Quality and Green.
Believe it or not everyone buys off emotion, even the manliest of men.

Internet should run the same way. The internet to me should be like a phone book. Instead its like a street market in a 3rd world country and this guy named google is your tour guide who got you to the market though the jungle.
google translates to the natives. The natives turn into hostile canibals and you run for life. All I wanted was a rare fruit called "Guanabana."

So if I started and internet biz I would sell viruses that destroy porn and casinos and MLM sites
and then seperate fact from opinion. etc.
So how do you fix this?
let's hope they can find you. I spend half my time looking for products that don't exist.

Off-line businesses take a lot of "scratch." I tried raising money for my restaurant concept Healthy Harry's, but was off-put by a lack of investment because it was too expensive. Half a million.

I am not doing too bad with my medical supply company. Besides getting more capital and taking more risks there is not much more options for me except sit back and watch the company grow. I can only be as aggressive as my cash flow allows me. I have become more conservative over the years. That is why I am looking into the internet business. I believe the internet has a higher risk of not being successful but a much less monetary risk. That is why you see a lot of young people getting into it.

This is also my personal opinion. When I use the net I often go striaght to the Giants. Like Costco.com or Target or Boarders.
Yesterday I was looking for a new product. We often use a S.I.Ps wall instead of a 2x4 or 2x6 wall, better insulated, stronger and costs about the same. Now we have plywood if you will on the exterior and the interior. but we are still using drywall. Its possible to use a paper material rather than drywall. Eliminating weight and trash possibly cheaper and faster and paper is recyclable. I'm thinking card board or paper because drywall is wraped in paper.
Then it possible to add it to the SIP wall before it comes to the factory or job site reducing labor and time.
    mmmmm never know.

I am working on a local lan shop/tournament forum project for gamers. Our goal is to have a store in every major city in the usa. Its a lot more extensive than that,I dont want to give any of our key secrets away, hehe. Its 6 months in the working, but it seems to be going smooth now Lots of money

I also run 3 websites and I am an avid powerseller on ebay...

I make money anyway I can have fun while doing it.....thats why I love the online business. The fun factor is very high.... You build everything from the ground up online. A lot more detail than the outside world and a lot less headaches.

Dont limit your self to just one thing. You have to have boundries and expectations, but NEVER LIMIT YOUR SELF TO ONE THING. It will always fail..You gotta have a back up plan or 2 if you ever succeed at what you do.

And remember ,if something can go wrong it will. Its up to you, to stay on top of it.

    Just my 2 cents
