Question on Business name DBA stuff...

Hi everyone, I have a quick question. Let's say I want my business name to be X. So on all my business cards, my business names, it is shown as X. But lets say I want products that I'm selling to be X ____. For example, if I'm selling clothes, I call it X Threads or X Culture. Or if I'm selling candy I call it X Sweets.

So, If i'm going to be registering a DBA, do I register it for X or do I have to register X and all the other stuff, too?

And when I trademark, do I have to trademark all the X ___ along with the X or just X?

    I would love some feedback.

Also, if I was reselling health products... let's say condoms, should I make my business a sole prop. or a LLC or a corp considering the fact that I receive the condoms from a manufacturer. Would I be liable if someone tries to sue me or would the manufacturer be? Same with lightbulbs... if someone sues me because the lightbulb busted on their eye would I be liable (the seller who rebranded the manufacturer's lightbulb) or would the manufacturer be? Thanks for you help!!!!

Dhan, I really suggest you get a lawyer to answer these questions for you. Hopefully the advice that you get here will be from an actual lawyer but if it isn't you should definitely seek legal counsel. This decision is a critical one and not having all of the correct information may cause you some huge issues in the future!
