    Cool Question on Advertising...

Is anyone doing significant 'paper' advertising in their local areas. I'm talking a campaign here, not just an ad in the classifieds.

    What I'd like to know:

    1) What's your service?
    2) How many paper avenues are you invested in (classifieds, flyers, signs, etc)?
    3) How large is your coverage area?
    4) What's your return?
    5) And how far did you have to extend your coverage before you saw results (in terms of number of people potentially viewing your ads)?

I'm also curious if you have a sidewalk location (because that's it's own local advertising).

I'm thinking about trying something new once I've populated my web design showroom. I'd like to target my local region, like any other service here in town would. I'm wondering if it's worth it, and when it is worth it.

Whats your service? You need ideas right? Tell me what your workin with and maybe I can help.

Comon dogg, who the f*ck r u? What are you tryin to accomplish???? What business r u in? You say somethin about web design showroom...Ive never heard of one of those before (but I'm up in the Arctic circle so maybe thats why).....if your a webdesigner and u need web design jobs, theres soooo many more ways to get jobs through the internet than through the streets. But if you wana go the brick and mortar route, I suggest gatherin all of your competitions ads and portfolios, and deliver somethin twice as better...make ur marketin presentation hit a home run, get those clients pourin in to the point u have to say "sorry Im booked!"...

if u are a web designer and u do a lot of visual attractive design, I suggest learn how to deliver 3d content and animation through the web. ppl f*ckin love that $hit. Make your website as entertainin as goin to a movie, and make the content golden. plan and development based on research and your own creative ideas. if your about makin a lot of money then "THIIIINK MOONEEEY"...just help your fellow brother out in the process.

If your just an ad published, thats cool. What you need to do is write an ad thats every single person who reads it is gona take notice and make it so a large amount of ppl are interested. What market are u advertisin in?

All I can say, is no matter what business your in...if you want to do it big you HAVE TO KNOW MARKETING!!!! Become a master of marketing...just dont get caught up readin all the bullshit, look for the real masters of the trade and follow their advice....

I havnt read this book yet, but its been recommended to me by many respected marketers...its called "Influence: The Psychology of Persuassion"....suppose to be really good...another one is called "Triggers" by Joe Sugarman (but its like a $100 books)...

When you come across a really good marketin book you will know because it will probably be kinda old and will cost a few hundred dollars...

just study up! Follow ur gut...i dont know what the f*ck else to say at this point, I dont know what the hell u are actually tryin to accomplish...

BUT I hope some of this helped

    Stay real, much love, PEACE!

oh and did I mention....study marketing....
