    Question about buying a blog

What's the profit in it? It has over 1.2 million views a month and over 350k unique views. They currently do not have any main source of revenue. If I were too purchase the site, how would I make it profitable?

    Advertising

Advertising revenue is one of the ways. Surely advertisers will want to pay good money to advertise on a site with 350k unique views.

    Affiliate programs.

What kind of blog is it?

For example, if it is a blog about buying cars you can go to eBay and sign up to be an affiliate, then you can post links in the blog to posts on eBay motors.

What kind of blog is it? You may want to go with private ads depending on the topic.

With this traffic you could even monetarise with Google Adsense. Could make you few hundred bucks per month.

It really depends on the topic of the blog, but it blows my mind that they've grown it to that size without having a primary monetization focus in place.

Even if you sold ads through a display network for a lowly $1 CPM, thats $1200 in advertising revenue straight up. Depending on the topic of the blog, the potential could vary dramatically. But the numbers alone are strong.

I would be seriously skeptical of their stats if they're not claiming any serious revenue. Simply hosting a blog of that size will require a decent server. No way of monetizing? You're at an instant loss.
