Q about manufacturing clothing...

Hi all! I am new here...I just have a question i hope someone can help me with...

I want to start a clothing line geared towards patients. However, how does one manufacture the clothing if it is just one type of garment and the orders are not going to be placed in bulk? Meaning most of my sales will probably be made by individuals through my website...so would overseas or even local manufacturers be willing to work with me and send out shipments that may be pretty small, depending on the orders i get in each week? I hope my question makes sense....

I am just trying to figure out how to manufacture this garment since it is not going to be ordered in bulk......

If you can't go bulk, overseas is out of the question. Your best bet is to go local. Find a seamstress or a small apparel manufacturer.

Depending on the size variations, the easiest thing to do would be to find a local seamstress to make your initial samples, and then either have that person make some short run production for you, or seek out a sewing contractor that could produce some small lots for you in the sizes you offer. You could stock a small amount yourself, then ship them as the orders come in. Do you have the design? any patterns? specs?
