my first advice would be to create a blog with that.

I looked into making comic books a while back, I had a script I wanted to turn into something and I found out something interesting- no artists want to split potential returns working my idea. I posted several different requests in different places and got nothing. I talked to a friend and he let me have it.

So, you know, I think if you want a ghost writer you need to hire a ghost writer. I do not know how much they would cost. My opinion is: talk to people in india with companies like, you know, Brickwork.

But the title is the last thing that matters in a book, you know? unless it's a scam book, I mean the title must be catchy, but I can write 10 popular book titles a minute, you know?

etc. I mean we all got a million titles, you know?

Did you ever get that comic book made? A friend of mine and I have a similar desire to turn some of his ideas into comics just not sure where to begin.

No, the artists wanted to get paid up-front and I could get to keep 100% of the profits. Meaning that they felt there were no profits to be made.

I no longer remember the forums where people were looking to hire comic book artists.

as a published author, I would suggest you write the book yourself or move on to something more realistic.

uhhh... giving back sarcasm that wasn't there to begin with.

Either you write a book or you don't write a book. You are the one who wants to be an author but wrote "LOL... I'll write it myself." Well, obviously authors write their own books, so I don't understand your posts at all. if you want to write a book, you write it. I did that. I also wrote freelance articles for many years.

If you want to hire and pay for a ghost writer then you should contact any number of NYC literary agents, as the top ones in the world are located in New York. A good place to start is:
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ghostwriter

The Wikipedia article states that ghost writers are paid $30k-100k to churn out a book. That makes sense. A friend told me many years ago that they shared an apartment with a ghostwriter who made about $60k per book. So I'd say that's a basic example of the cost you'd incur hiring someone else to write a book for you.

I stand by my original comment to create a blog about this topic instead of a book.

You already rejected the thought of using an overseas author. Therefore this will cost you somewhere between $30k-60k (or $100k if you want to spend that much). You have this information and what you do with it is your own choice, but reality isn't going to change just because you want it to. I've been down the comic book road and presumed that my charm and history of success could get me free art for a share of future profits. Not only did I not find anyone, people actively mocked me and rejected the idea.

You are free to pursue this, but you have already rejected the good ideas put forth here. don't you dare think I'm being sarcastic. grow up.

Just in case your book idea doesn't get picked up by RandomHouse or Warner Books, you should try www.authorhouse.com or publishamerica.com - they are great places for self-publishing. They also offer editing services and a suite of author tools.
