    psd to html

has anyone used sitegrinder.com to convert their psd to work to html or dreamweaver? I know there are many sites out there that make you pay around 80+ dollar per every page they convert it to html, but I just think that is way too pricey. I'm still debating where I should just slice the image myself and learn how to covert them to html, which I'm very inexperienced at, or just pay for the service. Or just pay one flat fee and buy the software provided by sitegrinder. Help?

I would not recommend sitegrinder it will not do everything you want. Look at companies such as wpcoder or something or even buy a theme and then adjust it ... sitegrinder is a hastle

As a web designer I do not recommend using PSD or Dreamweaver. One reason because dreamweaver is a very limited tool, it's easy to drag and drop things, but also it inserts hundreds of junk you don't need or want.

Coding from blank is the best way.

It's not too difficult to convert PSD to Html. I learned to set up a site in about 3-4 hours. Just design the look, chop it up into slices, and set it up in DreamWeaver.

As far as Dreamweaver inserting extra code- it's true, to a degree. If you use it for the bare-minimum functionality of what you're wanting to do, you'll still get an efficiently coded site at the end of it all.
