Hi,
I am sure this question has been asked numerous times; i just could not figure what search string to use in the forum search.
I have an idea for which i need the backend created on a server on Internet. I am not a programmer myself, neither do i have friends who are experts at that. So the only option left for me is to approach an anonymous outsider.
My concern is, how do i protect my Intellectual Property (in the form of the idea i am sharing with the programmer)? Non-disclosure Agreements are a possibility, but i am not sure how effective they are when i am approaching individuals (freelancers) and not organizations for getting the job done. Besides, legal path may become cumbersome the programmer is not a resident of my country.
How would you have typically tackled the situation? Am i being paranoid, or is IP hijacking really rare?
Thanks in advance
PS: I don't have a preference between Freelancers V/s Organizations. Just want to get the job done at a reasonable rate.
