Profit from a niche website?

How much could you expect to make from a niche website?

If I were to make a website that involved providing people with information that generated a decent amount of hits, what kind of profit could I see from it?

For example, if I made a somewhat successful blog, could I make something small like $10/week from Adwords and other small things that generate revenue?

I you are going down the road of a niche website i would say that you have more chance to make money than a non niche site but how much you would make is i guess how much hard work you put into the site and the promoting of it.How long is a piece of string comes to mind if i remember correctly a member on this Forum started a website about a niche subject about some special lizard that he was interested in and because of that his adsense revenue was very high for not alot of hits but he had promoted the site well and the rest is history so they say.Good luck

Hi,
I'm creating a 'niche website' too, I'm looking at it in the long-term though rather than adsense or affilate money (though I do plan to use adsense to offset the cost of the hosting), hopefully it'll be worth a lot of money in a few years. Maybe you could think about it that way, too.

I am interested in knowing the answer to this question though, I keep reading how people make money from adsense, but I've always wondered how much do you REALLY actually make?

@NathanielRosa the niche website that you are working on how do you plan to make revenue long term from it ??? Adsense revenue depends on many things like the niche sector that you are in and also the traffic through the site.If someone has a very high profile site that is making alot of wonga from adsense a)they will keep a low profile and most dont brag about it and b)most wont tell you the niche or even the domain name because of the fear of competition.
