    private taxi service

    hey everyone =)
    i'm new to site and wasn't sure where to post this but i was thinking of launching a private taxi service around the toronto area.

    i got good connections and a word-of-mouth marketing niche in mind. i have seen before hand how to generate good profit but since the gas prices is going up, do you think i can still create a low-price taxi service without much of my profit going into gas for transportation? please give me some feedback =)

    How about a limousine service? I can help you get clients
    Just out of curiosity, what type of cars will you be using? I'm sure if you use a Honda Accord or Toyota Camry or something along those lines you won't be paying as much in gas as the taxi companies that use the Crown Vic's or Impala's.

    I think someone made a thread about this yesterday maybe it was you i dont remember, but the most important thing if your going to target business people which i guess you would be doing if it's private kinda like a limo, Is to offer services that will increase productivity, businesses love to increase that and dont mind paying tooo much for it.

    I think you should go for electric or bio-diesel fuel cars. In this case, you are helping in making our environment cleaner.

    Yes, Bopa Media is right, as long as it can help to increase the productivity, people won't really mind if it cost much.

    make sure you check on your local regulations regarding insurance, licensing and things along those lines.

    I would think that depending which market you go for on the limo service, they wouldn't care about paying a little extra for the difference in gas prices.

    Do you know what the gas mileage is on the types of cars you want?

    well thanks everyone for you thoughts, sorry if i haven't been replying back. i'm still planning things out and such, and yes i'm thinking about having cars with good mileage. the limo ideas not bad but i think i'll stick with my orginal plan and focusing on just one target market.

    oh yeah, one last thing... anyone into turner cars? LMAO

    I remember London has a good system, but it's different to what you're proposing.

    And yeah, I guess you still have a long way to go on planning.
