    Please advise?

I'm currently a freshman in university with lackluster grades.

I've bought and sold several cars on the side and have made enough capital to begin doing so on a larger scale. This is what I want to do. I hope to open an established dealership in a large city, eventually.

I do not have the desire to continue my education. Without desire, there can be no success.

What do you recommend? Would love to hear your thoughts.

I got a position at University but the urge to start in business made me realise that I didn't want to take up my place. So, I deferred the place for one year and I'm now launching my new business on Monday.

Obviously, everyone tries to persuade you to keep going at what you are doing, but why do you need further education? Here is my theory - why would I ever have needed a degree? It's something for a CV, and I'm not going to need a good CV to employ myself.

I would advise that buying and selling cars is a very stressful market, as you have to battle for the price of every single vehicle, meaning that you make different profit levels - even if you are selling the same cars. Just a heads up!

    That's my advice - but hey, I'm only 19.

I am in a similar position, because I have run my own business ever since I start at ASU. I am now a Junior and have co-founded an organization to improve education and I also am in business for myself.

I would suggest staying in school and starting your business part-time. The reason for this is focus. If you can focus on your business part-time and school part-time I think you will see your situation improve. When I focus solely on my business, it becomes easy for me to slack off or take days off and be completely unproductive.

Or, find another job that you can work on. The point is, make sure you have steady income before you drop everything to start your business.

If you would like to DM or Private Message me, I would be more than happy to offer more help in any way I can.

    I think education is important.

Your business has no guaranteed success.

You don't know where you'll be 5 years from now.

What if you need a loan? Would a degree help with that?

Maybe the best bet is to keep trying to build your business while you stay in school, and then take it to the next level when you have your degree... or when you're more assured of your success.

    Good luck to you.
