No, this is not a business idea, I just need help with my blog.

So I have this blog I have been doing for a while now, but I want to improve it. My main concern right now isn't traffic, that comes later. I first want to improve the quality of it.

I would like some feedback from you guys about what you think of its quality. The blog is suppose to be philosophy and humor combined (a good niche IMO).

Do you guys think I am appealing to too big of an audience? Or too small?

It is possible, but why would you want to still use blogspot?

You wouldnt have this problem if you had your own domain and hosted wordpress on it, you could just use your hosting stats.

Build traffic?
By quality do you mean the quality of the posts? The visuals?

A relevant URL will help SEO. And a more flexible blogging tool (Drupal or Wordpress) will allow you to layout your contents more attractively.

Like previous people have said, get a domain, get hosting, and install WordPress.
A blogspot address isn't as professional as a domain.

Quantifying quality is subjective, but ultimately it would mean how much potential the blog has to attract readers.

What could I add to the design or the content that would get me more traffic? This does not include advertising.

I would personally go with a more interactive design. look around see if you can add any additional elements. Idk if blogger offers open source so you can customize your blog the way you want but it would be a useful feature.. that way you can decide what goes where .
