Paving my own path to success

    Hi,

    Firstly, I shall introduce myself,

I am living in the United Kingdom, England and am 22 years of age, I have a very strong urge to create my own success, my own ventures and my own income, I have a passion for Hip Hop and have the experience of 10 year's behind me.

I have conducted interviews with various people, wrote reviews, mixed & hosted mixtapes, wrote lyrics, wrote poetry and consider the final three to be my strong points.

I have made a little money here and there from that of which I have just mentioned, however, not enough money to live from, and that, is a goal of mine.

I have began to write down various idea's of how I can create income from each of my skills, a few ideas have came up, and I am still currently brainstorming for even more,

My question is, am I on the right path?

I have a following, and can conduct my "market research" and establish who is the "target audience(s)" for both, Artists and Listeners.

Really, I just want to see if you guy's think I am on the right path, if I am missing out anything obvious, please point this out to me, it would be much appreciated,

    Thanks

Brainstorming in my opinion is the best way to start. You already have a vision of where you want to be in the future but you just need an effective plan on how you'll get there.

Have you tried seeking help from somebody in your area that does the same thing perhaps?

begin with the End in mind, see yourself where you want to be and start to brain storm. things will come together.

You can create an income from anything. Stay focused on your goals and clearly identify your niche and your business.

Identify your brand weather it is personal branding or a label ect.

    Keep going bro

Wish you the best of luck!

Since you already have a following, it will be good for you to start brainstorming along the lines of what do your followers really want and how you will be able to give them that.

From the things that you have listed, you seem to be all over the place. You need to know what are the things that you did that have attracted the current followers. Try to talk to them or send them an email. After you have find that out, try to become the best on that.

Hip hop, in my opinion, is a very broad space and you need to choose a place for yourself. People will go to a hip hop composer for lyrics or tunes but the chances will be lower for a hip hop fanatic to get their business. Not a big hip hop fan here but I hope you get what I mean.

I am actually quite impressed that you actually did something, took actions and not just brainstorming. Continue to do that but make sure you know how did you get here and how can you impress your audience better with what you are really good at.

Thanks for the advice JRROSS, Kameron and Wayne Liew.

I am very much focused on being a music producer, I am currently learning that, I wouldn't consider myself as a "hip hop fanatic", more so, I have been involved with the hip hop business for many years, so consider myself a part of that, which set's me aside from the hip hop listeners/fans etc... at the moment, I have people find me, to work on their mixtapes, mixing etc.

I think I have established, exactly what I enjoy, and what I am good at, and that would be my ability to work with audio, so mixing and production sounds exactly like the path I want to walk... so I see myself, focusing on the learning side of production, and then really marketing that along with the mixing (which is why I have my following at the moment)

Many thanks to all who contributed,

    Thomas

If you can provide a very specific statement of your goal and an overview action plan of 5 to 10 steps you will take to get you to where you want to go, then I can provide you with quality feedback about whether or not you're on the right path.

For me, I have many goals, but don't know how to get there. How do you plan step by step.

First visualize and brainstorm meaning think about where you want to be in the future whether its business wise or personal. Then, Figure out what you are good or in other words what skills do you have that can help you meet your goals? After that I would start planning on doing whatever works out best and then when every things good to go I would start working towards my goals.

I hope that helped a little.
