    Part-Time Business Question

I'm a college student and was looking for ways for me to make money working when I wanted to. I've found a place that will sale me 3500 new cell phone accessories for $499.

My questions are: Is that a good deal? I was thinking that if I sold each accessory on ebay for $2 profit I would make a pretty decent deal, but is there really a market on ebay for cell phone accessories?

Instead of selling individually should I try selling in bulk on ebay? say 100 accessories for $75? thats around $2600

I would also try to make a website on ecrater or a similar website with the products and pass it around the college for possible sales that way.

Just looking for suggestions and opinions on this possible venture.

A quick way to test the market is to take a look at eBay and see what similar items are selling for. Then run the numbers, including all costs, and find out whether it will work. You'll also want to have a required rate of return to compensate you for your risk and for your time and effort.

I am not sure if you are interested but if you live in a college town it is likely that there are many frat houses and businesses that would need services that my design and print studio offer.

I would be willing to split 50% of any profit made on any job that you found.

We could print t shirts for a frat house or design a site for a local business, pretty much anything you can think of. The more jobs you found the more money you could make. It would be on your own time and you wouldn't have to do is sale them something that is essential to their business or organization.

This offer pretty much stands for anyone on these forums, I like helping people here out because I can relate with everyone here.

50% is a big split and I may not always be able to offer it but feel free to pm me or email me and we can talk things over.

This is good advice. You have all the resources you need to measure profitability before you invest. You know what items you are getting, you know the cost, and you have a market to sell them. Look at what the items are and then measure what they are selling for. Make sure you include eBay fees, packing materials, postage, and the time it will take to do everything. If you can double you investment then I say got for it.
