    Oxygen Bars?????

Thinking about opening an oxygen bar around Chicago with a couple of my friends. I have done some research on it, and know that it is a success in Japan and in California. The oxygen bar would include other things like massages etc.. but any information on what type of return in generates or things i should look out for would be appreciated thanks

I really don't think it will be all that successful. I live in California (San Diego) and I don't see them, I don't see any ads for them, and no talk about em. They used to have an oxygen bar in my hometown (South Lake Tahoe) California/Nevada. And it was in a prime location. Top floor of a casino, over looking the lake, serving drinks. And it failed within a couple years with Harveys/Harrahs as their financial backing. I guess they thought would be successful because of elevation (7,000+ feet). I think it was more of a FAD if anything that has come and gone. Maybe this fad is just reaching Chicago, I don't know, but I just don't see it as becoming profitable. Just my opinion.
