Online selling of products listed elsewhere

    Hi,

I am just wondering if there are services which let you sell items listed by others and earn a commission while doing so.

Selling products (books, DVDs etc) is not the primary business of my startup currently. Also i dont have the financial bandwidth to stock these products and ship them internationally. However, letting my users access to buy these items adds value to my offering.

Any ideas here? I did some initial searching and could not find any clues on ebay or amazon offerring any such a service.

Thanks Milkerz for pointing out the term!
I think drop shipping is very close (or maybe _is_) what i need...

While i was searching around, i saw something called 'Fulfillment Services' being offered by Amazon. However, it demands that I 'send' my products to Amazon's fulfillment centers, from where they take over. This does not seem to solve my problem.

I do see "Buy this product on Amazon" on some websites. Any ideas how that system works? Pointers would be wonderful!

Both Ebay and Amazon offer the facilty of selling other members products and you earn a commision for doing so here is the eBay Partner Network link and this is the Amazon link the Amazon option even offers you a free store setup for the products that you wish to promote this could be nearly everything going.

What kind of products are you thinking? Because there are affiliated programs, there are drop shippers, there are commission based programs to sell for amazon and ebay. Maybe it would help to know what you are thinking about getting into.

I cannot clearly define whats going to be sold, 'coz its going to depend on the content. But DVDs & books would dominate, along with small memorablia (like keychains, desk items etc. say pertaining to topics like Formula-1 / Moto GP, Grandslam tours, UEFA etc).

What i can say for sure is that the audience is international. Hope i have answered your question...

Okay, then the above suggestions certainly fit that category. Also you may want to look into speadshirt.com or similar sites that alow you to print on objects and sell them.

As previously mentioned, amazon allow you to run your own store, which when the user clicks on the link, redirects them to amazon's site. Basically it's a referral program, so this may be what you're looking for!
