    Online Business Simulation Economy

This is a good tool for learning business topics.

    PerfectCompetition.net - Business Strategy Game & Simulation

A free multiplayer online business strategy game
The game play features business administration, finance, accounting,
marketing, human resource management, real estate, networking,
negotiations and deals, company and contract law, business ethics,
macroeconomics, microeconomics, and non-cooperative game theory.

The system is similar to a behavioural economics computer experiment.

Many people of all age groups around the world play this. I have learned very much about financial instruments that used to be confusing to me. I am actually a very good player now.

Perhaps the most valuable learning tool is when I meet friends around the world in parts that I will likely never visit. These friends and I have deep discussions about many topics. You can learn more about business from them than you can learn from the game!

The game is free and has great instructional value, but should you wish to become a regular player, please use promotional code "WIN" at the premium player registration for free trial of market research functionality.

I play this game as a hostile takeover chairman. I identify companies that have allowed themselves to become vulnerable, then I accumulate stocks until I have the controlling interest and I take the company control as if it was my own. Then I butcher it, sell off the pieces, and move on to find another company for my hostile takeovers.

There are only about 200 active players divided among 2 competing economies at this time. I am posting here in an effort to bring in more players. It would be more fun for me than bullying the same players I already have beaten before. I would invite the moderator to try this game before deleting my post. I am confident you will find this game has the value of a college level textbook portrayed in the form of a gaming experience.

My name at this website is Palmhara and I invite any new players to ask me for assistance once they are in the game. Thank you for allowing my post to be here.

Yes, it may take some playing around before you understand what you are looking at. 5 minutes is not enough time. A single game day is 12 minutes, so you didn't even make it for 2 days. You never stayed around long enough to see the results of your actions.

I advise players to spend at least a half hour when they try it. Then when the day rolls over, read the game's business news feature. On the second day, your company will have an expanded menu that allows you to do more things. But you can't expect to be able to do that in five minutes. As a matter of fact, some players elect to play without even forming a company. It is up to you.

Also, the stock market is open 24/7, so an active player may find himself logging in many times as a habit to keep an eye on how things are progressing. You cannot leave this game unattended for too long because everything will adapt all around you. But when you create a company, you can view the parties involved in the recent trades. You also can view level II market depth of the bids and offers of your company's stock. Your stock will pay dividends quarterly. In general, it is good to have friends around the globe to look out for eachother in all times of the day.

A player from a different part of the world has an easy time to figure out when you go to sleep every night, and will step in to make a situation you will need to correct when you wake up.

Most new players start off in economy 2 and graduate to economy one where gameplay is more fiercesome. The two economies compete with eachother with imports, interest rates, and FOREX exchange markets.

The top ten players from both economies combined will get a reward of points at the end of the 8 year round. Usually, economy one has all the top ten players and it is rare for economy two players to be in the top.

I will make the suggestion to the site owners that they add a tutorial economy to the game for new players.

    Human help

In my opinion the first rounds should be played with the help of a human mentor like they do in the business game BossInGame.com. Having a person answering your questions is probably more effective that FAQ's or tutorials...
