You need to have passion in order to run a business. This is true for an online business venture.

Well thanks for posting your question. Clearly you are ready to get your feet wet in entrepreneurship but one thing that I noticed, as well as the other members, is a lack of focus and niche. You need to find something that you are passionate about. Something you love to do in order to turn that into a viable business. What "turns you on" at the mere thought and you can talk about hours on end? Something that you wouldn't find boring when working late hours. After that, think of ways to monetize. Is it a blog? then go for advertising. Is it a product? go for eCommerce etc.

This makes it very inexpensive to learn the ins and outs of starting a profitable home based business and even help choose the best home based business idea for you to start in your spare time.

I thought I’d share one of those coaching/mentoring programs with my visitors and readers today. Remember this does cost a little money, not much, but if your not serious about getting startedand you don’t plan on following through, save your money for when you are. I recommend having 4 or 5 hours a week and segmenting a part of your week to spend on creating another income stream. Do it of six months consistently and you’ll have something to show for it. Just like anything else, you get out of it what you put into it. The nice thing about online home business ideas is that once you put in the work you will likely enjoy a more passive income than you previously thought possible

I agree with this. It's not about money or fame. You have to love the idea in order to start a business. Find what you love and go from there. Read some books, but don't quit your day job, and don't expect a lot of money relatively soon.

When you say "best," is that based on lack of competition, performance or profit margin? Personally, I think the best online business is passion-based or interest-based. Starting a business that you have a passion for makes work less tedious and more enjoyable. With the right tools, you can learn to make it perform and make it profitable, especially if you research it and find a less competitive angle for your subject.

With a passion-based business, you will be doing what you love and make money doing it. It's like making a dream come true.
