Sorry in advance for being a new register/first time post is a question. I did try searching but didn't find an answer.

I am trying to open a business bank account, but they say I need to have my business setup as a foreign entity in nyc. Is this correct? If I had a DE mailing address would I be able to then open a DE bank account? I'm not trying to skirt any laws or anything like that but trying to avoid having to file as a foreign entity in NYC, the business does NOT have a physical office presence. And business will be conducted through the website only, but what is best?
