Question One idea or many ideas?

    Hello there,

I'm kind of misery at the moment/since many years.
Unfortunately, I have too many ideas. Almost all of them got never realized, therefor I've got a big folder at home with all these ideas explained - but that's all.

10 years ago, I started as a webdesigner to finance my studies. That worked good and until lately it was ok. Not a big revenue but I got some orders from a business partner. Now she doesn't want to continue and I'm a bit left alone.

    Time for new things/ideas.

Unfortunately I'm a bit impatient ... when do I know, whether an idea worked out or not? (I know, there is now general answer - but maybe some ideas).

Is it better to go with one idea or with many?
I read several books about entrepreneurship/personal growth - some recommend to focus on stricly one thing, other tell me to be an entrepreneur, realize ideas and find a manager later on.
I feel like an entrepreneur, many ideas, solutions to problems, thinking out of the box - but none of my ideas was really successfull until now
Maybe I'm doing something fundamentally wrong?
    Maybe I'm too impatient?

Well here's the thing, if you have a lot of ideas, you should try them all. Think of it like this, the ideas are stickers, and some of the ideas aren't as sticky as others, but keep trying the ideas until one actually sticks. It's never a bad thing to have too many ideas, but make sure the idea you want to go with is well researched, and of course plan it out, then after all that, execute your business plan.

There isnt one answer for everyone, we all have different succsess stories. Some might thrive at multiple endeavors, while others are only able to succseed when focusing on one. That is something you have to figure out for yourself. Are you able to multi-task, delegate well and have the resources to do multiple ideas? If so, go for it!
You might just try one idea, work on it and if another idea comes along.. maybe you can transition time into that idea slowly.. see how that goes?

    Good luck!

I would suggest you try to choose one idea and focus on that exclusively until you develop the idea properly. Once your idea takes off and it becomes a success then you can turn to some of the other ideas and see if you can build another one up. It seems to me like you have many ideas, and its distracting you from really focusing on any one of them in order to build it up. However if you can work with one at a time you'll be able to utilize all your resources to reach your goal.

    Here is my experience...

From the age of 16 to about 27 I tried to do... well everything. How often did I succeed? Well... never

At 27 I started my company I own today... Got to a Million in annual sales... started a second... got that to a million in annual sales... now I've started three more.

My point is you have to start one successful company before you can start many. When I started my company in 2006 I spent about two years working 18+ hours a day 6-7 days a week. That is how I made it work. The second company took a little less and the rest is well history now.

Three years from now I plan on having five companies each with $1M+ in annual sales. I'll be 35 and I should be in good shape for the rest of my life. But I would never had been able to do this if I didn't do what it took to make one company work first.

First focus one thing at least at first if you have 2 many nothing gets done. You will also want to focus on what is called a value business (this is a business that generate fast income) Then you will move on the what is know as a value business. At this point you have a more long term business model that you can continue to build or if you wish sell the business.

Pursue with one idea. The first step to success is taking the initiative to start your business. We can't master everything before starting up. Information overload is one of the main reasons why many people quit the scene even before taking any action.

    You obviously need help.

I mean no offence but you need a mentor, or partner, or something along those lines.

Pick three ideas, and send them to people that are willing to help. I will help you. I am sure that 'rogercbryan' will offer some advice as well.

We can give you ideas, direction, and capital if we think the ideas will fly.

I do agree with the postings on here to pick one (or maybe two) ideas and run with them. Not 10.

If you or anyone starting up can understand the depth of what 'rogercbryan' said, it is invaluable. Do you think it is luck that when an entrepreneur "finds out" how to build a successful company, they build another one, and another one, and another one....? You need to learn how to build ONE company.... because then you know how to build all companies. Some may agree or disagree with this statement, but the generality of the statement is true.

Learn how to build one of your ten ideas. Learn how to find lenders/partners/investors (if you need them), learn how to market and advertise, how to sell, how to grow, how to partner, THEN... How to have that company make money without any of your effort.... THEN you move on to the next company.

If it was easy, everyone would do it. It's not. If you need help, ask. I will help, and many others will also.

    Good Luck!

Go where the money is and have a focused plan instead of 10 unfocused ones. IE. wallstreet, tech, and any other growing industry. The main thing is keeping 100 percent ownership of your company and being able to aquire financing. Work on these things and you should be fine.

stay focused on one main idea - human's productivity is best when he is focused on one thing.
When you have experience with one good business and already realized you ideas, you can start
looks to another idea, but I personaly think these ideas must combine.

I know many success people, who start with one small ideas, than combined affiliates, advertising selling, softwares
to sell, lotto as aditional just for fun.

If you really can't realize your favorite idea, you can't to realize any other idea, that you may though it is could.
If you think the idea is your favour, stay with the idea and achieve your goals.

In the process achieveing the goals you will become skilled business person and you will be able "plug in" "plug out"
others earning ways to your main business.
