Ok guys, I need your feedback and analysis!!

right, i run Alt Web Design | UK web designer | freelance webdesign | php programmer | freelance web designer i get quite a few visitors but not many convert to leads.
If you get chance i'd like to know:
What you think of the site
What confuses you about the site
What's good / bad about the site
And why or why you wouldn't buy from there!

The site looks really well done. i like it.

However your problems are not the website. the question is.... out of all the other freelance web designers out there, why should anyone work with you? Internet marketing, is like hoping someone finds you, and picks you out of billions of others. Why not start working with local advertising agencies in your area, going door to door in your local community to talk to business owners who do not have an online presence.

I assume that you are an affliate for you web hosting solutions. Have you considered getting a reseller hosting account for the people interested in shared hosting. Then you can use gimicks like build a site with us and only pay $1 a month for the first year for hosting etc etc

What price range; $100-500, $501-2.5k, or $2.5K and higher are you in? This will effect the client you are marketing to. If it is under $500 the above gimmick can work, but if you are in the other two tiers I would suggest staying away from this gimmick. It can damage your creditability. With the design companies I have dealt with, they normally have 1 or more account reps contacting companies about a redesign or design of a website. From what I can see you are good at designing. 1 thing I see missing is a "Designed by" link on the websites in your portfolio. This little link can be a great tool in generating business and it also proves you have designed these websites.

Also another thought is to make the ticker "Our clients have (been) featured" static, so the potential customer can see and it becomes less ignoring. Another suggestion is to deepen the "The People" section to include much more information about the programmers. Less information tends to mean that you are not qualified.

Not bad looking... you missed some major SEO points on your home page.. also on your contact us page... A little tweaking and you'd have a nice site.

Upper menu does not look well in my browser (it's just a text without a brakes and in left side) also those "<" and ">" buttons didn't work in my browser.

Nice looking site. Lots of good information but there is really no "call to action". Also agree with the comment above, your site is lacking SEO properly.
