    Obtaining My MBA

Good morning everyone. I am in the midst of preparing for the horrifying and dreaded GMAT! Has anyone here on the forum taken the test? Does anyone have any recommendations for study tips? Personal experiences? I bought the Kaplan books and signed up to do 25 - 35 hours of private tutoring. Any tips?

The GMAT is easy dont sweat it. It's basically reading comprehension, verbal and math.

Dont bother spending 25+ hours with a tutor unless you're weak in math, everything you need is in the book. Go through your old geometry/algebra/trig textbooks.

I didn't take any classes or tutoring. I bought the Kaplan book though.
The most helpful thing will be taking practice tests. You will start noticing the patterns in the questions they ask. Kaplan has several practice tests on the CD they give you with the book and you also get a CD with practice exams when you sign up for the GMAT exam. I would suggest taking as many practice tests as you can and try to improve your score each time.

Likewise... passed the Gmat no problem. Save your brain cycles for the MBA program. Worth every penny and every minute you invest in it though, you'll meet some cool, likeminded people in the program. Best thing I ever did was getting my MBA from a real school (read not U of Phoenix)
