Back to school spree: Billionaire, feds give out $175M to aid neediest students

I posted the link to the forum where I found it instead of the news article so people could see what comments were made. Basically, George Soros and his bought and paid for people in the federal govt gave $250 to welfare recipients in NYC for "school supplies". So parents immediately went to check cashing places and took the money in CASH, which can't be traced, unlike an EBT card. Anytime you see people begging in Craigslist or here for money, think of what people actually DO with free money, lottery winnings or stimulus cash.
