Non-Profit Organizations

Im looking to start a non-profit org in hopes of giving back to my community. Can anyone give me information that will lead me in the right direction. What all I need to have in line before I even go on with the process? Is there a particular forum or website that could answer any questions I have pertaining to this topic. I know how I would like to give back, I just do not have an idea on what to do and how to start. All help and advise is very appreciated.

Your secretary of state website should have a lot of the info and forms you need to fill out. Google "setting up non-profit". A ton of stuff comes up.
