Hi, I'm still in college and interning at a small software startup in Seattle. After a summer of marketing work to prepare, we launch the beta this weekend
http://www.trailfire.com
Feedback has been extremely good and extremely negative, with comparisons being drawn to nearly everything, from del.icio.us to digg to diigo to blue dot to the next wave of blogging.
A tip for other entrepreneurs: get online and check out web 2.0 stuff. There are millions and millions of eyeballs obsessed with this stuff, it's amazing how myspace and facebook barely touch the surface of all that is out there.
That being said I'm curious what people whould use Trailfire for (it allows you to put content right on top of an exsisting webpage then link your marks together to form trails....and a bunch of other cool stuff) and how you would recommend marketing it....my original plans have somewhat fallen appart and I'm looking for new ideas....thanks!
And seriously....all starting businesses should spend a few days and search the blogosphere and all the web 2.0 stuff....you have a HUGE audience out there.
Thanks!
Brent
