All Available Items

What I did is I created an extra auction lane with my auto auction partner. I did this because they already have 7000 registered buyers and their site gets about 1000 hits a day. I figured it would get me started a lot faster doing it this way.

Why not sell on eBay? The reality is that many of these items will also be listed on eBay, craigslist, and will be available to the public on Saturdays when the auto auction takes place. I have no expectations that I will be able to sell a lot of items from my new auction lane in the near future.

Why did you create this lane (auction)? Mostly for my bulk books. Demand has skyrocketed for book BINS. I started off selling them for $12 and I'm now getting as much as $200 per BIN for select types of books. I needed an organized manner in which to inventory and sell them. This auction with it's 'buy it now' feature allows me to direct my buyers to my current inventory easily. Seeing how I already have a handful of buyers for these items it should work pretty well.

I did purchase the domain name thriftit.com which is the name of this project. I hope that domain will be forwarding in the next day or two. I plan on developing a site this summer that will list all my inventory from Amazon (7000 items), eBay, Abebooks, Albris, and my gogets.com classifieds. I'm investing almost every penny I have in to my bookstore and advertising for my vehicle donation company so I can not really absorb the cost of a decent site right now.

Anyways.... check out my new auction and let me know what you think. I'm open to any and all feedback!
