New start up ... Need a few ideas

Well i know this top has been covered lots before, but each situation is a bit different so here goes..
I started a new venture, its a an online poker touranment with unique features ( i wont post the website so i dont get acused of spaming)

Anyway what i need a few ideas with is getting the word out there...
Iv come up with several ways to advertise mostly for free.
Note - Target audience = current online poker players, Budget = very little but i could stretch depending on the idea.

Heres the ones iv come up with already.
Forums (guess its sort of spamming but i would contact mods first)
Poker news sites
Gambling sites
Myspace
facebook
blog

Was wondering if you guys had any new ideas or ways to improve ideas iv already thought of.

Thanks in advance

Why not try some white hat marketing that works great?

Such as:

Article marketing, forum signatures and being active in the forum, blogging, press releases (Only if it is newsworthy).... you can send out FREE press releases at Page Ranking. com, link exchanging, offline promotions such as a bumper sticker, business cards, talk to people,Ask bloggers to write about you. You just have to be creative and if you have a good product or serviice , you will survive!

You can also sponsor a local POKER PARTY and give the winner credits on your site.

Also, i don't think the mods will get mad if you post your site. I'd like to see it!

Thanks for the replies so far.
The website is worldchampsofpoker.com
It isnt actually a site for playing, we are just running one tournament.
Its a very ambitious project but considering some of the biggest poker sites have over 10million players it isnt out of the question.
After you have a look you might see why local advertising might not be that effective, considering i live in a country of only 4 million

I would try some Social Media Optimization....search in Yahoo Answers for people looking for info on tournaments and than link back to your site...

Just my $.02

To be taken serious I think you need to invest in a better site. Im not just saying this because I design sites and can help you out but I am also an avid online poker player. I see things like this and stay way away, when doing anything with money online you want it to be 100% legit and your site does not show it. If you would like any help let me know.

Best for luck

Yeah i agree that the site could be alot better.
My design skills can only go so far.
As a poker player would you consider signing up? If not apart from the design what would stop you?
