    New Product- Feasible?

    I have an idea for a great product having to do with exercise and health.

    The technology is currently available, but is being used for other purposes (medical). With some modification to the cosmetics and the delivery system, this product would interest every individual currently involved in excercise.

    Gyms, Health Clubs, and even doctor's offices will be able to easily include the product line into their own offerings.

    This product will increase the general health, speed up rehabilitation, and multiply the results of anyone involved in exercise and/or physical training/conditioning.

    I am not yet ready to share the concept with the public as a whole until I am able to get a patent, but I'd like to be able to talk the idea over with someone that has either been involved in a similiar field (exercise, health, medicing), or is interested in a company involved in this area.

    Hi im currently getting what sounds to be a similar product developed at the moment. Trust me it's a very very long road and you have to be so careful there are so many sharks out there. Just Pm me with any question's you have. And a quick word of warning patents arn't always the right way to go.

    I know that many people on here would feel no remorse taking someone elses ideas and turning them into success, but I would like to find someone with experience in the development and production of a product. I will work out the design, and find a couple of doctors to back up the studies.

    I know for a fact that the product will become a great success, because it directly affects athletes, casual joggers, and anyone interested in strengthening their body. It also has the potential of being marketed to doctor's offices, clinics, and other medical facilities. It is a fairly big project, but the potential for success and profit is definately there.

    Funding and marketing shouldn't pose a problem. I will be looking into the possibility of getting a partnership with a currently established sporting goods company (Nike, etc), or just continuing using angel investors and/or a VC firm.

    Your right with developing a product its going to be a huge project that will take many years. Now firstly before you spend any cash on anything u have to be 100% sure that there are no other products out there like it that you will infringe on there patents. Its bad enough wasting time let alone money. I personally have had hundreds of inventions that i thought where new concepts to realise they had been realised years ago. Depending what your product is look at getting it made over in asia you will save heaps but you once again have to be careful they have no regards for I.P. The hardest bit you will find is selling your idea to investers no one likes unproven ideas even if you say it will be a success they have heard it a thousand times before.

    Just a quick question what sort of price do you think the development will cost?

    It's going to be a really long road but just keep focusing on seeing your product on the shelves of shops. Good luck with it any questions PM me

    Regards Mick

    it's a shame...

    I'm finding this thread to be difficult to participate in;

    getting a patent, strategic partnership with Nike, institutional capital, interest from angels

    ....all of these things just sound like a daydream

    paul, have you tried running some market research surveys, or are you just postively sure that you're on a winner?
