Stay motivated
I feel these are the two things that help you keep motivated-
1.
Reward yourself. You get rewarded for good credit and safe driving, why shouldn’t you reward yourself for doing well in your coursework. Whether it be a night on the town, a new dress, or even a new car, setting up a reward system just may be the extra push you need to succeed. If you stick by your system, you may find yourself pleasantly surprised.
2.
Take time for fun. If you’re spending all your time working, studying, and watching after the kids, you’ll likely suffer in all areas. Everyone needs some down time to re-group. So, set aside a little time every week for a favorite activity. You’ll be more productive when you return to your work.

Hi
I stay motivated by keep on keeping on, even if it's just little steps and I don't ponder giving up. I have found that growth comes in spurts. I can go a long time, seemingly getting nowhere, then BAM! one day or one week, I shoot light years ahead to my goal. It's happened so many times now that when I do have a dry streak, I don't entertain thoughts of failure. I just ignore it and keep moving forward, somehow.
The other thing is surrounding myself with people I trust, with positive people, and also with people who have similar goals. I spend time reading others' ideas and more often than not, get inspiration from others' experience.
I keep trying to learn. I get my hands dirty. I push hard and fall on my face. It can be painful sometimes. But then, a little later, a light comes on and I realize I just learned a ton from that experience.
So all in all, I focus on growth and ignore, or endure the bad. Taking breaks when things get intense helps. Later, I get another idea and go back at it. It works for me!

Motivation is a funny thing. Many things can be demoralizing. Keep thinking of the positive and of what your desired out come is. Be sure to never forget that what you are looking for is a successful business not and quick cash scheme.
Good luck..NEVER GIVE UP!!!!!

i believe one stays motivated as long as he is doing things where he is passionate about knowing that he is doing his life's purpose - sharing his God-given talents/strengths in serving others !! it doesnt necessarily be a religious activity. being in business is a divine calling to give employment to others and to give good value to clients!

When you are in business for self, your motivation is what got you to this point to begin with. In my business, I am surrounded by small business owners. I am often motivated by hearing their success stories. I have a great small group that I network with. We hold each other accountable and on occasion have to kick each other in our butts to just get it done. Motivation for me: Not going back to the corporate world...the Monday meetings that result only in another meeting. Come on people, we control our destiny! We move and our business moves! That ROCKS!!!!!

I stay motivated everyday by recalling the basic fact
" Success does not mean the absense of failures. It means the attainment of ultimate objectives. It means winning the WAR not every battle. "

There is no such thing as long term motivation in some terms a different way to look at it through a psychological stand point would be
One must have an underlying deep foundation of need, in order to have drive and motivation.
Such as you cannot motivate a child to earn good grades with objects, they must want to get good grades in the first place.

Philanthropy
I'm motivated by the fact that once my business is established, I'd love to have a successful career as a Philanthropist. Financially, knowing that if you setup a business to generate a huge (lets say 7-figure) income per year.... You will have the power to save '000s upon '000s of lives of people suffering in 3rd world countries.
Achievement
Probably the main one here. I read magazines such as "BRW Young Rich" and learn about other young people who are doing amazing things in business. It helps you realize that you can achieve this if you work hard and by seeing people whose businesses were once similar to mine, but now earn millions a year, shows you that anythings possible and to think big!
Bling
Not a huge one for me, but I think everyone likes the thought of being able to drive a fast car, holiday in luxurious places and wear expensive clothes. It's nice, but I wouldn't consider it an overly motivating factor...

I think about the idea of having to do something I don't really like for the next 40 years (like most of corporate America) if I don't at least try to pursue my true interests, and that really motivates me to give it my all. You can't get there if you don't try and I really want to get there.
