anyone tried to brave the crazy lines at the apple store?

I heard they were having activation probelms with at&t and its making the lines much longer than anticipated.

I tried waiting and last 10 min. I guess I will try a week from now after they work out all the bugs.

Anyone else have any stories about this?

I bought 5 of them today and activated all.

They are a pain in the ass to get, I had to put on my game face and speak alot of BS just to get them.

I went to 3 different stores, and waited for about 2 hours in line overall.

I was thinking of doing that but I didn't really plan ahead. I didn't have the cash on me to go buy them. How much were they without a plan?

So you have 5 of them you'll probably make about $1500-$2000. Not bad for 2 hours of standing in a line!

They're not selling the phones without the plans yet. You have to buy the contract when you buy the phone for now --- sucks, I know.

Apple/AT&T is crossing the line... They even do a credit check just to buy A phone ... I was like, am I buying a brand new car???

Lol yeah that does suck. So you bought 5 phones with plans? How did you manage that? And I called my local ATT store today and asked the lady there if they still had any in and if they can sell them without a plan and she said yes for $499, not sure if she meant the 8gb or 16gb.
